Buzzavox was a voice messaging service that for six years provided travellers
with a way of keeping in touch with family and friends as they travelled,
by recording 'Talking Postcards'. Accessible via toll free numbers in 24 countries,
and available in 12 language versions, the service allowed travellers to
record voice messages about their travel experiences while also hearing
from friends and family back home.

Although it was very well regarded as a service by the thousands
who used it, Buzzavox was unable to compete with web-based email
services such as Hotmail and ceased to operate in 1999.
